1. Seriously, maybe she just didn't want to have to keep putting up with that bullshit.

coming to the realization that bowing out of contention takes the heat off the boss to stick with her and risk losing the fight in the Senate later for her post.

PBO might have someone else in mind and it wouldn't be worth it to have her name still on the list. Shut mccain the fuck up. He'll get his blowback.

4. Got to her nothing......Her ownership in oilstocks would lead to a huge conflict-of-interest

if there was ever an agreement/treaty re:Keystone Pipeline.

As Sec of State she would have to sign off that agreement/treaty while hearing ka-ching, ka-ching in her ears.

Also, I'm sure there will be easier battles for President Obama to win.

Edit: Not to mention the fact that her oil/financial interests could influence her policy with OPEC nations.

I think Kerry is a much better choice, though I hate how the Repubs tried to make an issue out of Benghazi with Rice when there was nothing there.

There were a lot of questions about those when he ran for President; though I think they explained most or changed the subject or something. The big money is the Mrs. Kerry's anyway.

Put Kerry at State and Hagel at Defense and you have the two confirmations that will be easiest.

He didn't even nominate her. Am I the only one who thinks she wasn't seriously in contention? After years of the Repubs playing this game, why would Obama use his best piece first?

Now Hagel is up for SecDef just as Rice withdraws... That's not coincidence.
