Sanders supporters call for Donna Brazile's resignation from DNC role
Nicole Gaudiano , USA TODAY 3:29 p.m. EST November 14, 2016
Supporters of Sen. Bernie Sanders have launched an online campaign for the immediate resignation of Donna Brazile as interim chair of the Democratic National Committee.
Former Sanders delegates to the Democratic National Convention voted 337-13 in favor of Braziles resignation in a straw poll, conducted by the independent Bernie Delegates Network. The online activist group RootsAction.org, which sponsors the network, launched a petition Monday shortly after the votes were tallied.
The petition follows revelations that Brazile, as a political analyst for CNN, gave Hillary Clintons presidential campaign advance notice of questions that would be asked during a Democratic primary debate between Clinton and Sanders, a Vermont independent.
Brazile, who was DNC vice chair at the time, resigned from CNN last month and a CNN spokeswoman said the network is "completely uncomfortable" with what it learned about her interactions with the Clinton campaign from emails released by Wikileaks.

(30,481 posts)Make this vote with respect to an interim chair, that we know won't be around much longer, then claim victory when what is well know actually happens as expected.
That's bold.

My original point is spot on and you don't like it. That is why you are employing the tactic of distraction. You do know she will be gone soon, right? Seems 313 delegate aren't smart enough to figure it out.

(30,481 posts)Replied directly to the information in the op. 313 delegates that were for Sanders have no clue that Donna is on her way out. It's comical. Same people will claim victory when the know happens.

(11,095 posts)we should not condone Donna Brazille's actions in this specific incident. Deflecting does us no good, it just makes it appear as though we'll overlook anything.

(10,173 posts)what amazes me is that apparently this is the first time it has happened ever in the history of politics where a political operative working as a cnn commentator gets hint of a question for a debate ... and not just any question..
A question about water pollution..
in Flint..
during the debates ..
In Flint. This is seriously shocking. ( sarcasm ).
Of course some people can deceive themselves into believing this doesn't happen regularly on the campaign trail if it helps them sleep better at night.
And any CNN official feigning ignorance and outrage is on bullshit.
So instead of advocating that the major debates no longer be in the hands of the networks and we get other groups involved,Berniacs decide that they need the head of Brazille who is going out anyway.
this is why we can't have nice things y'all, we fuss about stupid shit.

Donna Brazile is not apologizing for leaking CNN debate questions and topics to the Hillary Clinton campaign during the Democratic primary. Her only regret, it seems, is that she got caught.
My conscience as an activist, a strategist is very clear, the interim chair of the Democratic National Committee said Monday during a satellite radio interview with liberal activist and SiriusXM host Joe Madison. She added that if I had to do it all over again, I would know a hell of a lot more about cybersecurity.
In other words, Brazile would have made sure that her improper disclosures which prompted CNN to drop her as an analyst would not show up in hacked emails published by WikiLeaks. The lesson, apparently, is to pick up the phone or perhaps meet John Podesta in a dark alleyway.

Shouldn't people be upset at the DNC officials who cheated and offended all those Democrats who preferred Bernie Sanders? Those Democrats are the ones that the DNC cheated not Bernie Sanders.
I'm amazed how many people are making excuses for the unethical and dishonest activity by the DNC and try to blame Bernie for their actions.
But then Donna Brazile and Debbie Wasserman Schultz were extremely loyal to Hillary so I understand how some might consider that a good thing.
Brazile and Schultz were even willing to put their reputations on the line and cheat for her. Now that's loyalty to a candidate. But loyalty for the Democratic party they were suppose to be representing. Not so much. They chose a candidate over the party.

(4,640 posts)voted for Hillary.
I see you've "forgotten" the hacking of Clinton's part of the DNC database BY Sanders and his camp. The constant campaigning against DEMOCRATS IN GENERAL by Sanders throughout the primary. Or the FACT that as soon as he lost, his promise of always staying a Democrat was as worthless as I knew it to be when he said it.
This is why I say he has NO BUSINESS attempting to dictate my party's future or business. He is not a Democrat, was a DINO for the primary, and will never be a Democrat.
Expecting Sanders to have that kind of say in party business is just ridiculous. That's like saying HRC should have say in how the Rs do business.
