Related: About this forumDoes anyone assume a rigged election will recount differently?
If you do, I'm not hiring you to fix an election, that's for sure.

(2,072 posts)has to happen before the election not after. Plus I got a feeling Jill Stein, who has some pretty questionable circumstantial connections to Russia, is not going to be our great hope in foiling a potential Russian "hack."

(15,262 posts)Certain types of voting devices are in violation of the right to vote. That case has been made before, in NM. They changed their voting system by law before the suit ended, so it became mute in NM.

Was he wrong?

(15,262 posts)Not a presidential election, of course. But I've caught them doing that after the fact, in Ohio 2004.
The thing about making people believe it can't be done is that such thinking just facilitates those doing it.
What Obama might realize is that when an election is rigged and the crime is done right, there is nothing that one can do to either prove or reverse it afterwards. That's my point, it is the perfect crime once pulled off, and all the more so in an environment where everyone believes it cannot happen because then there is no one watching to stop it.
We need to realize we are subject to the dishonesty of individuals in positions of power. When Trump said, "It is rigged," he was telling those people they have to do something to counter the rigging, he was giving those people the moral justification they needed to rig it.
