I wish they were audits. The goddamned DoJ should be doing that.

12. Green Party files for Wisconsin recount, audit from CNN
Sat Nov 26, 2016, 04:16 AM
Nov 2016
Washington (CNN)Green Party officials filed Friday for a recount in Wisconsin, following reports of voting discrepancies, and were seeking a deeper investigation into the election results, which handed the state to Donald Trump two weeks ago.
Wisconsin Green Party co-chairman George Martin said that they were seeking a "reconciliation of paper records" -- a request that would go one step further than a simple recount, spurring, he said, an investigation into the integrity of the state's voting system.

The announcement came as Green Party candidate Jill Stein's Thanksgiving fundraising blitz passed $5 million. The money is well beyond the $2 million mark the Green Party initially set, and Wisconsin party officials said that any additional money not used for the recount would be used to train Green Party candidates for local office. The goal as of Friday was to raise $7 million.
"We don't know, and we think the forensic computer experts have raised serious questions. What we do know is that this was a hack-riddled election, we saw hacks into voter databases, into party databases, into individual email accounts. We know that there were attempts made broadly on state voter databases and we know that we have an election system that relies a computer system that is wide open to hacks," Stein told CNN's John Berman Thursday. "It's extremely vulnerable, Americans deserve to have confidence in our vote."

Trump is going to get to brag that he won the first vote on election day and then he won the recounts as well. This, to Trump, is called "WINNING!" and he told his supporters that there'd be a lot of it.

Jill Stein is giving him a little more.

Taking advantage of Democrats in order to pad the Green Party coffers (to be used to run against Democrats)

She made more money for the Green Party this way than she did via all her other fundraising efforts over the past year and a half.

Was thrilled with Putin hacking Hillary's emails and sending them to Wikileaks but is feigning being upset that they hacked voting machines.

That is part of the con.

Collect more money than is necessary for something that is legitimate. Keep the rest and use it for your own purposes.

I have no doubt that she will spend a portion of the money pursuing a recount, just as I have no doubt that she will keep a portion of the money for the Green Party itself.

The state doesnt have to do it. It isnt guaranteed. But the fact Wisconsin has officially declared they are recounting the votes, shows stein is good on her word. The fact there are lawyers on the ground, show she is good on he word. And at this point, it is pretty clear stein has a lot more to gain from Hillary winning, should stein be successful -then not. So let's stop this nonsense that stein wants to illegally and blatantly buy a yacht with campaign contributions.

Or some other non-sensical idea.

18. My point is not that she want to buy a yacht

It is that she is using the concept of a recount in order to raise money for the Green Party.

I am sure she will do what she needs to do to show she is filing paperwork and spending some money on recount efforts.

My issue is with what happens to the rest of the money that is being raised.

If there is a detailed accounting of exactly how and where the money is spent, and if any additional funds raised not needed for the recount are donated to an organization that is not the Green Party then I will withdraw all criticism that I have raised on this topic.

Too bad Hillary Clinton didn't act immediately after the election to get an audit of the vote in all the "key states' ..as well as in Florida, where she had "an insurmountable early lead" that mysteriously disappeared late in the day.

Go Jill!
