They all wanted to try their hand being the next Jon Stewart or Jim from The Office. It was easy to just play Trump stuff ironically and think that the audience are laughing at it.

I can't say I think much of today's media's intellect...from what I've seen - with a few exceptions. Then again, they have to get an audience to actually pay attention and understand.

Just look at what was thrown at Clinton. Just the things you mention in your op are frightening as hell. She still get over three million more people to the polls.
