So now Republicans are coming out and saying they oppose Jack Lew as Treasury Secretary

Sen. Cornyn and Sen. Sessions are the first to come out against Lew. There will be others.

No matter who Obama nominates for any cabinet position, the Republicans will oppose him/her. We saw how they reacted when Susan Rice's name was floated. The only reason why they aren't throwing as much of a fit with Kerry is because they think it gives them a chance to win a Senate seat. Now we're seeing their knee jerk opposition to Hagel and Lew.

Republicans won't be satisfied unless they get to pick Obama's cabinet. Pretty soon they will demand that they be able to pick Obama's Chief of Staff.

This is why we need filibuster reform. One political party has completely lost touch with reality.

if our senators are getting weak in the knees about filibuster reform while being instructed in this instance, why it is so badly needed --they then are living in some dream world. except if they fight filibuster reform, we'll all be doing it with 1/3 of our cabinet posts vacant.

I'm Against It
Grocho Marx

I don't know what they have to say,
It makes no difference anyway,
Whatever it is, I'm against it.
No matter what it is or who commenced it,
I'm against it.

Your proposition may be good,
But let's have one thing understood,
Whatever it is, I'm against it.
And even when you've changed it or condensed it,
I'm against it.

I'm opposed to it,
On general principle, I'm opposed to it.

[chorus] He's opposed to it.
In fact, indeed, that he's opposed to it!

For months before my son was born,
I used to yell from night to morn,
Whatever it is, I'm against it.
And I've kept yelling since I first commenced it,
I'm against it!

that Bush put forth ... and got plenty of "liberal-media bias" airtime ...

I thought that they were "above" those kinds of petty acts ...

But for different reasons. I'm with Bernie Sanders, we need someone that will not carry water for the scumbags.
