Related: About this forumQuestion on assault weapons ban, and high capacity magzine bans?
Would this proposed ban of assault weapons force people who have already legally purchased assault weapons to give up/return their assault weapons?
And, if somebody had purchased a high capacity magazine legally, would the ban force people to give up their high capacity magazines?
Thanks

No. All the noise is just a fart from people that have been fed too much hot air. Hopefully

so, the people who are whining about a "gun grab" won't be turning in their guns...

the stench will dissipate once the hot air cools a bit.

If its a ban on new with a grandfather clause nothing would happen.
A confiscation approach to existing firearms and magazines would force people to give them up. US law would also require that fair market value be paid for them. Some here on DU have called for that approach.
