Marco Rubio' Signature Achievement Will Be Embracing President Obama's Plan

Or, blaming President Obama when his plan, which is almost the same as President Obama's plan, fails because House Republicans can bring themselves to support a path to citizenship. Of course, the media will give Rubio a free pass on his prior efforts to pander to the extreme right of his party when he opposed the Dream Act:

http://latino.foxnews.com/latino/news/2012/03/07/marco-rubio-maintains-opposition-to-dream-act-after-meeting-with-student/

Likewise, the media will portray Rubio as a rising star, even though the most active (racist) part of the GOP base is opposed to his immigration plan:

Ann Coulter: http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2013/01/ann-coulter-turns-on-marco-rubio/

Glenn Beck: http://www.glennbeck.com/2013/01/30/ugh-gop-pushing-%E2%80%98comprehensive%E2%80%99-immigration-reform-bill/

Sure, Limbaugh will be paid to play along by emphasizing "border security," but at the end of the day, we see the big money GOP establishment once again rolling our McCain/Romney 2.0 by trying to re-cast Rubio as reasonable and moderate.

This is the ONLY thing republican's are going to do their jobs on the next two years, and only because in their deranged, small minded, power hungry minds they need to do something to con more Hispanics out of their votes.

But, you are already seeing them spin this bizarre things where they are pushing the plan the President put forward while screaming how if it was left up to the President it would be some great disaster. At the same time, the are being VERY deferential toward Rubio, making him out to be the great leader of it all.

IMO, the current thinking is they will allow immigration reform to pass, then get Rubio on the ticket in 16 as the guy who got it done, thinking that will be how they get the Presidency.

They usually are pretty blatent about what they are doing, and this seems to be pretty clear.

...stamp out any of the more blatant extremists or racists who run for the nomination. No Ron Pauls, Rand Pauls or Rick Santorums. This is why Karl Rove has been so blatant about setting down his marker that if you run against the corporate establishment's chosen one (Rubio), we will crush you. Yet, since Rubio championing Obama's immigration plan, which the right has repeatedly referred to as amnesty, the Tea Party types would love to bury Rubio in the Southern primaries with racist claims that he is unleashing the brown tide. So, Rove and his SuperPAC are engaging in some early offense to scare any would be opportunists from upsetting Rubio.

I think that is more about the senate.

They clearly have the capacity to game elections at the sub state level - rigging districts at the state and congressional level in a way to portion out the majority of left leaning folks into a smaller number of districts and spread the Rs out enough to be able to win more congressional and state districts than they should.

They then take advantage of their gerrymandering in big "swing" states where they have majority control to put up voter ID laws, and also in any state it works to get things like gay marriage or abortion on the ballot to get their turnout.

Their "problem" is any election at the state level or national, they can't game.

Pa is a left leaning swing state.

They have bizarre majorities in congress and at the state level that are far out of proportion to the number of actual d v r voters.

But, Pa has gone to the democrat in the presidential elections over two decades now, by increasingly bigger margins.

We do elect a R governor every other governor in this bizarre way the state feels compelled to play some D, R, D R thing.

And, we will elect and R senator.

The example is Pat Toomey. He BARELY beat a darn fine democrat in Joe Sestak in the huge R wave in 2010.

Toomey is a smarmy, K street/wall street sucking POS.

BUT, he is a Rove type - a button up, not say what he actually wants to do, and definitely not say anything crazy about abortion type.

In a wave election, he snuck past Sestak.

Two years after Santorum, a fire breathing, spout whatever crazyness pops into his deranged mind lunatic, got curb stomped by Bob Casey.

IF one of these clowns who can't help what comes out of their mouths like Todd Akin had beat Toomey in the primary, even in 2010, he/she never would have beaten Sestak.

They are just trying to control who gets past the primary in the senate races more than anything.

He's good enough to fool the low info voter unfortunately.

Too many in the media are praising him for this simple virtue including some on msnbc.

He's best friends with a criminal Rep. David Rivera, he bought a house with him that is
in foreclosure, plus Rubio ripped off his own party for a couple of hundred thousand for
personal expenses..

What democrat could ever get away with this and be presidential?
