In Wyoming Speech, Former VP Dick Cheney Criticizes Obama Nominees For National Security Posts

By Associated Press, Updated: Sunday, February 10, 12:52 AM

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Former Vice President Dick Cheney said Saturday night that President Barack Obama has jeopardized U.S. national security by nominating substandard candidates for key cabinet posts and by degrading the U.S. military.

“The performance now of Barack Obama as he staffs up the national security team for the second term is dismal,” Cheney said in comments to about 300 members of the Wyoming Republican Party.

Cheney, a Wyoming native, said it was vital to the nation’s national security that “good folks” hold the positions of secretary of state, CIA director and secretary of defense.

“Frankly, what he has appointed are second-rate people,” he said.

John Kerry, the 2004 Democratic presidential nominee, has been confirmed as secretary of state. CIA designate John Brennan and defense secretary nominee Chuck Hagel are still awaiting U.S. Senate confirmation.

And note the typical Repubican projection tactic:

Accuse others of what you actually did.

Bush/Cheney made us less safe.

for only 2 years

I am NOT going to listen to the maniacal rantings and judgements of a man whose (mis-)Administration failed to prevent the deaths of 3,000 Americans on 09/11/01 and then went on to fail to get the man most directly responsible for it during the next 7-8 years.

Dick and his lovely daughter : Its laughable how ANYONE, ANYONE - including his personal choir, would listen to either one of these two failures. Both of them have BEEN WRONG ABOUT EVERY ISSUE AFFECTING THIS COUNTRY. It is rare to see a .1000 batting average regarding errant, worthless commentary on virtually all matters. ( Unless you're Dick Morris, toe-Sucker Supreme. ) Dickless Cheney, THE most embarrassing excuse For a VP in United States History, Has the balls ( must have borrowed them From Liz ) to criticize Obama appointments. Right. You and fellow douchebag George have set America back at least 50 goddamn years. You need to don the Dunce Cap and stand facing the corner and, most importantly, shut the fuck up. You've done enough damage. And stop trying to rewrite history. You're a Draft - Dodging Fuck up, and that is your Legacy.

Being wrong, even very wrong, doesn't seem to matter anymore. FOX re-signed Rove. The GOP re-elected Preibus. Just about all the reporters and talking heads who got the WMD/Reasons for invading Iraq story wrong, despite the fact there was adequate evidence that the administration was lying readily available at the time, still have their jobs.

It seems like the only ones who get axed are the ones who just personally annoying and have probably pissed off someone in their management chain. Which pretty much described Palin's and Morris' situation. I really don't understand how Preibus got re-elected. He's such a smarmy little twerp and they lost big-time under his leadership.
