http://www.politico.com/blogs/media/2012/04/huckabee-show-opens-with-staged-caller-120137.htmlMike Huckabee launched his new radio program without a hitch yesterday -- except it appears that his first caller was actually a plant.
The American Spectator's Jeffrey Lord has unearthed the true identity of one "Mike from San Francisco," who turns out to be Mike McVay, the senior vice president of programming for Cumulus Media, which owns and operates Huckabee's new show.
"Well Governor, let me start by saying it's great to have a different opinion and a different person on the radio and I'm very, very happy that you're doing this radio show," McVay -- or "Mike from San Francisco" -- told Huckabee. "One of the reasons why I want to listen to your program every day is because you ran for office and you've been a politician, you have a different perspective I think."
Lord also notes what's not being said, but certainly implied: the "different perspective" is a reference to Rush Limbaugh.

Cumulus owns some of rushbo's biggest affiliates.

(94,727 posts)1. No real competition here in New York...
WOR, the wannabe RW talk radio station in running Huckabee in the night slot.

...which is owned by Cumulus. They're starting Hucklenutz on smaller stations to see how well he does and as rushbo's contracts are up at various stations he could be moved into the midday slot. It's Cumulus definitely hedging bets on rushbo...a show owned by their prime competitor...Cheap Channel.

That will fix the little green Mike Huckabee calling life forms.
