Help with understanding Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2012 (Public Law 112-74), re: cuts to Pell
Can anybody fill me in on the politics behind the cuts to Pell Grants (less semesters of grants per student) in the bill? Did the Pres trade off more students being eligible for fewer grants per student? was there a deal made with obstructionists to get the full bill passed?? I do know that 15 R senators and 147 R Reps voted for the final bill......
