If Hagel does not become Defense Secretary get him to run for the US Senate in 2014 as a Democrat

against Johanns-R for his old US Senate Seat.
If Democrats can put up with Exon,Kerrey, and Nelson- we can handle Hagel as a Democrat.
The choice for Lindsey Graham is do you want to see Hagel as your new US Senate collegue or Obama's Defense Secretary.

Nothing will stop Senate Republicans from being obstructionists than intimidation. If Hagel has a tough time defeating Johanns in the general, I will remove my post.

issues is almost fucking normal? I would rather see any repuke retired or completely out of politics. Hell I would rather see him out on an ice floe. We can't even handle the blue dogs to get them to do what needs to be done, why try with a repuke. Hagel running as a Democrat would be fine if the goal is to have one party. I'll pass on that.

Even a state like North Dakota, but we are taking about Nebraska- It is a red red state. We cannot expect My homestate Senator Warren to win all 50 states.

do stupid shit stay branded as republicans. Sooner or later they just might get smart and become a blue state. The capitol D is not magic in the word Democrat, a person can call themselves a Democrat but if they are republican the D doesn't make them one. It's my hope Elizabeth Warren WILL win all 50 states, or at least enough to give her an electoral victory. There is one hell of a difference between Warren (D) and Hagel (r). One hell of a big difference

and he is a nasty politician who has gone to the press to destroy good people with venom and ignorance.
There is nothing in his actual record to recommend him for anything as far as I'm concerned.

Feb 2013

1. He is as conservative as many around here claim, and find Hagel's views closer to his own than many democrats he could consider for the job.

2. He is more comfortable with Hagel because Hagel and he worked closely together on a variety of issues as senators and Hagel was very helpful in his first campaign on Iraq and Afhanistan.

Take you pick which one works for you.
