Assuming Republicans hold onto GA,KY and/or ME, Republicans need to win at least 6 vulnerable Democratic held seats up for grabs in 2014.
Democratic Firewall is CO,DE,HI,IL,IA,MA,MI,MN,MT,NH,NJ,NM,OR,RI,and VA.- 49D
CO- State is trending Democratic.
IA- Braley-D vs King-R
MA-Markey-D is favored to win the 2013 special.
MI-Democratic hold if open- (Granholm,Peters,or Schauer)
MN- Franken-D vs Bachmann-R
MT- Baucus-D or Schweitzer-D will defeat whoever is the GOP nominee.
Republicans need to win
WV,SD,AK,AR,LA,and NC.
AK becomes an easy Democratic hold if Miller-R is the Republican nominee.
