Was Ted Cruz raised a Communist and is he a Manchurian Candidate?

Couldn't help but wonder after a P-1 lead story in the Sunday Austin American-Statesman praised Ted as "The New Rock Star" while he did virtual stage dives at a gun manufacturing factory at nearby Leander. (The American-Statesman always wimps out at moments like these.) I would like to see Tailgunner Ted ordered to sit in front of a specially-called, new HUAC (just for Ted) and make him clarify his father's role in pre-Castro Cuba. I want to hear in Ted's words how his bomb-throwing father joined Castro with such patriotic glee only to flee suddenly to Canada a year before Batista was forced out. Did his father flip and join the anti-Castro forces linked to Clay Shaw? Ted has dodged and double-talked his way past the subject for too long, and his Tailgunner Ted routine makes him fair game. Just who are you, Ted.
