Hilarious: Gingrich & Santorum were going to form a "unity ticket"

to take conservative votes away from Romney in the primaries - but the deal fell apart because they both wanted to be on the top of the ticket.

1. I think a Newt and Rick ticket would have been more competitive than Romney.

Newt would make all the fiscal cons happy, and Santorum the religious right. Plus, since Santorum is young, he would have a reasonable chance after 8 years to be President, presuming, of course, the ticket defeated Obama and whomever in 2016.

but a debate with the President against Bachmann or Santorum would've been pretty entertaining as well. IDK about Gingrich, though.
