in the chained COLA as far as veterans were concerned. From what I have read in the past, if the chained COLA were implemented, it would impact not only Social Security and veterans, but Federal government pensions as well.

I think the author of this piece missed the fact there is a CPI-E but no one ever talks about it. E stands for elderly.
