House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) accused the Obama administration of displaying an "arrogance of power" in his weekly press conference Thursday.
He referenced issuing surrounding Benghazi, the unfolding IRS scandal, the Justice Department reviewing AP journalists' phone records and the administration asking health industry executives to help finance Obamacare implementation.
"Our system requires the bonds of trust between the American people and their government," Boehner told reporters. "And those bonds, once broken, are very hard to repair. Nothing dissolves the bonds between the people and their government like the arrogance of power here in Washington. And that's what the American people are seeing today from the administration. Remarkable arrogance.
"This House will stop at nothing to get to the American people, the answers and the accountability that they expect," he said. "But the best way to repair this damage is for the administration to come forward with the truth. The whole truth so that the American people will have all of the facts."

(54,436 posts)When Obama invades a country for no reason other than hot business prospects for his VP and his financiers--THEN it's arrogance of power. So far, it has been "being president while being a Democrat, half-black and sober" that you're upset about.
That's not arrogance. That's "in the course of human events," to borrow a phrase from an old Bolshevik named Jefferson. Don't bother to read any of his stuff. You'd hate it
