I agree he's a terrible governor.

Unfortunately in our two-party system, the politicians who 'cross over' get a big advantage and are often some of the worst.

Think about it - the only time Democrats have been elected president since the FDR-LBJ period are in response to Republican disasters - Watergate for Carter, and recessions for Clinton and Obama. They don't get elected for being 'good Demcocrats'.

Instead, they get elected for being 'moderate' Democrats - deregulate those banks! Cut that social spending!

Christie is a good example of the problem - he is a terrible governor with terrible policies.

What are his policies? Straight right-wing garbage bad for his state, with a very few bones to look 'bi-partisan' when it helps him.

What is his governing ability? Be a jerk, get press for it. Ha ha, did you see that thing Christie said, hard to believe a governor said it.

He's a pure political whore, as demonstrated by his hypocritically calling the special election for US Senator 20 days before his own ballot, to try to give himself a little help - after saying previously he would not do that.

But that's the formula for success, as shoiwn by disgusting New Jersey 'Democrats' who vote for him.

Really, I don't get it. I just don't. He is ruining the economy in New Jersey and people still love the guy.

Most Democrats outside of New Jersey think he's this moderate savior. As a NJ voter (living out of state now) I will strongly disagree.

Now, we can blame those polls all we want, but that's not what I'm seeing. I'm seeing Democrats being duped by this asshole across the board and I'm trying to figure out why. I'm seeing Democrats believing the lie that this jerk is o.k. to vote for and I'm trying to figure out why. I'm seeing Democrats beliving that this asshole is like Ronald Reagan and that Democrats can vote for another Ronald Reagan and I'm not getting this from black Democrats; I'm seeing it from white, working class Democrats. Why is this?

don't have to start from scratch hiding a nasty history, hiding bad resume facts, building fake 'statements' , hiding things like romneys dog abuse, hair cutting attack, nasty statements in private. some turds are easier to polish than others
