Republicans remind me of Carry Nation....

It's not enough that they hate our government so much, they need to go out of their way to destroy it like Carry Nation did to saloons.
A rational person would just decide to stay away from the bars and live happily ever after but Ms Nation had to force her will upon everyone... at least until she ran into a woman saloon owner who kicked her ass and sent her packing once and for all.

My question is this. Why don't Teabaggers just stay away from this thing they hate more than anything else (the government of the USA) and step down so that people who are actually interested in improving it rather than destroying it can get to work and make it better?

And one more question... What is the difference whether our government and country are destroyed by tea baggers, the Russians, the Chinese, Al Queda, or the Muppets?

and to see that families were not left destitute. The issue was that the husbands made the money and controlled the money, and some of them drank the money away, leaving families without enough to eat or house themselves. Also, temperance workers observed that habitual drunkenness too often resulted in the application of the drunk husband's fists on a wife's or children's faces, in an era when women had no choice but to take it and therefore were powerless to protect their children.

They might have been misguided, but the temperance movement's motives were good. It was not a matter of forcing one's will on everyone, it was a matter of trying to solve a desperate situation that faced many women and children.

So no, Republicans, whose motives are purely selfish, are not like Carrie Nation.

Teabaggers don't want it improved. They want war.
