Market players are weighing their risks and calculating their tiiming. Everyone still has a few days left for them to dump holdings prior to a U.S. default. They are continually looking at their upside and downside risks. The market is taking a hit today so far it seems, just not a really big one yet. Some would rather risk having to sell at a lower price in a day or two vs getting out of their positions now prematurely and having to buy in at higher numbers later if a deal does get struck. I would say the market now is decidely uncertain.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: a political website is good for a lot of things, but market predictions are not one of them.
