Been thinking. What purpose does the GOP serve?

REALLY!

What good do they do?

What purpose do they server for America, for our democracy?

And why do we tolerate them winning elections and screwing up our country?

Democrats at their very worst are better than these guys at their very best. I think I've had enough and it's time for us to recognize we've all had enough!

Get involved. Get organized. Spread the word. Let the goal be NO MORE REPUBLICANS. NOT ONE. NOT IN OUR LIFETIME. REPUBLICANS OUT!

The Third Way can go very far to the right and still be to the left of the Republicans, while continuing their battle cry of "who the #%^* else ya gonna vote for, chumps?!"

Otherwise, they only serve to protect wealth for the wealthy and power for the powerful.

In reality, they protect rich people and screw everyone who isn't a rich white heterosexual Christian man.

I'm not sure this counts as a purpose, but I'd basically say the GOP represents the last gasp of the worst aspects of Western Culture's uglier aspects (at least insofar as they have organized political power).
