Martha Raddatz Badgers Nancy Pelosi About Being Mean to Republicans

This Week guest host Martha Raddatz this Sunday, but she decided it was her job to literally badger House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi about why she was being too mean to her Republican counterparts in the House when they decided to shut down the government and hold the full faith and credit of the United States hostage for a couple of weeks.

This seems to be a running theme among the Villagers this week. Now that the immediate crisis is over, it's damage control time for the GOP and time to badger the Democrats about the sudden need for "bipartisanship" and "civility." She reminds me of someone asking an abused spouse why they're not ready to forgive their husband right after they got out of the hospital. "He said he won't do it again. Why don't you want to forgive him and move back in together?"

This line of questioning makes the GOP seem to be a victim when they are caught being incompetent and anyone points out their lack of competence.

on her part.

Particularly, since later on in the program in a different segment, she dropped her attitude and took a completely different tack.

She lost a large amount of cred with me by her conduct. I would not be surprised if she received "guidance" from producers, but regardless, her behavior was unjournalistic at best.

BADGER is an excellent word for the way she went after Leader Pelosi, too.

*gasp* Would be nice if the media punditocracy would take a look at what the Republicans do before, during, and after every single election. Do any of them ever sample hate radio, which is entirely geared towards attacking, demeaning, smearing, and otherwise running down Democrats, liberals, progressives, atheists, pretty much anybody who doesn't agree with them?

BTW the Democrats and certainly not Nancy Pelosi had NOTHING to do with the government shutdown/debt ceiling crisis- unless you count not giving the Republicans 110% of what they wanted, which would have been unacceptable to any reasonable person.
