IMO Cruz doesn't have Presidential ambitions but rather is running to replace Limbaugh.

IMO Cruz is running to take over RW radio from Limbaugh.

I think Cruz knows that he might be able to get the nomination but that he would lose in landslide.

He also knows that Limbaugh is sinking and a huge vacuum is being created.

As an ex Senator he would dominate the industry and make $ 20-40 million a year and only have to work a few hours a day. He would suck all of the oxygen out of the RW radio atmosphere. He could then become the number one king maker.

because it sounds like Limbaugh's radio program is falling apart. What with the ad pulls and whatnot. I'm sure the role of the "mainstream" conservative narrator will slowly fade with Limbaugh.

One big negative, IMO, is his whiny voice. He does not have a broadcaster's voice. And I'm feeling that the national R party isn't feeling the love, and the Tea Party is dwindling, even though not down and out.

I think Limbaugh can out-Cruz him. Rush owns the national Republican Party and that isn't going to change anytime soon, unless he drops dead. Think Rush is sinking because advertisers don't find his audience ...the radicals...buys their products to that extent. But he has chosen to position against Cruz.

IMO, Cruz went too far and flew too high on his Crusader horse and anointed king to the 7 mountains thing...that weird religious rite video...creepy.

I'm going to watch what The Money does, and the continuing polls. The Tea Party was funded with it, and currently, is not happy with them or the national backlash they have caused against the entire party. Independents are not amused, either. Five years is a long time and he's just a Jr. in the Senate.

Interesting times we live in.

This guy's actions do not model those of a future general election candidate. After he leaves the GOP in flames he will get rich in the right wing propaganda industry alongside the other usual suspects.

Look at all the money he can rake in from an unsuccessful campaign. And he can still get a gig on Fox, RW radio, or a cushy book deal afterwards if he chooses.

It's about the Power
And he strikes me as the type who wasn't very liked as a Kid growing up in Canada, This small scale Admiration is going to his head.

EXample bragging about 2 million people signing his petition. well that's just a little above 1% of the number of people who voted in the last national election.

He is a loon

I think it's Joe McCarthy, and Cruz thinks he can do a better job.
