There needs to be a honest discussion with no lies about SS and Medicare

The problem is the GOP lies and distorts the real math surrounding Social Security and Medicare. Until the true numbers are revealed along with exposure of any fraudulent lying about the actual math a real discussion that makes sense cannot ensue. People have to get mad and make the politicians accountable for their statements and actions.

SS was supposedly "fixed" back in the '80s. Some of the people who orchestrated the fix are still around. Their explanation is quite simple. They never imagined that income wouldn't keep up with inflation as much as it has. Between depressed middle class wages, and the amount of income that is classified as "capital gains" the FICA taxes just aren't keeping up. The problem isn't on the outlays side, it is on the income side. But all anyone wants to discuss is how to lower outlays.

No cuts. None. Nada. Zilch. Not now. Not ever. Then start discussing how much higher the cap and how much lower the age, and how many bombs and super duper fighters stay on the drawing board, increased FICA "contributions" etc.
