Shaquille O誰eal endorses Chris Christie in new campaign video

New Jersey governor Chris Christie is far ahead in polls against Barbara Buono in his race for re-election, but that hasn’t stopped him from bringing in the big guys for campaign endorsements.

Shaquille O’Neal is featured in a new Christie campaign ad, touting the governor’s policies on education and jobs. “He’s a good man,” Shaq says. “Excuse me, he’s a great man.”

While it may seem strange that Shaq has gotten involved in politics, as the Washington Post points out, he was born in Newark and has helped Christie with other initiatives like launching an after-school lunch program in Camden, NJ.

In 2011, Shaq endorsed President Obama during an interview with Piers Morgan.

And Obamacare, you would think Shaquille would keep his mouth shut. Wasn't Crisco against equal pay for women? Another overpaid athlete who chases balls.

Christie also didn't allow partisan politics to impede help given to NJ during Sandy.
He has also moderated his tone from prior years.

Still, I don't like Christie and his position on Unions and other institutions put him starkly against my views.

However, since Shaq has helped in launching programs in NJ under the auspices of Christie, it can be argued that when you are told you are needed and given some sort of responsibility by someone, you'll tend to back them even if you don't agree with some of what they do.

I don't mind much. I can understand where he's coming from. It doesn't affect my point of view in regards to liking Christie. Heck, I won't vote for him, but I can see quite a few reasons why Shaq would endorse him(since they seem to have worked together before).

I don't take Shaq seriously any how, and he's a big goofball. Likability has never been a factor in voting for me.
