Elizabeth Warren supports expansion of Social Security

In remarks Warren just began delivering, she strongly endorsed the push to boost Social Security benefits — in keeping with Senator Tom Harkin’s proposal to do the same — and condemned the “Chained CPI” that liberals fear Dems will embrace in strong terms. From the prepared remarks:

remember...doesn't mean it isn't so...any popular Senator as listened to and as filmed, let alone while discussing anything as "boring" as financial matters. Not that SS is boring, but the real details and deals are beyond me. All kind of happened behind closed doors...so no one had to really stand up and be counted...Committee-like.

When you have a newbie Senator, an economist, a law professor now with a national classroom, on the Banking Committee with her public appeal? I'm in awe...truly. She gets as much if not more press than the President and she has all her facts down pat, delivers it flawlessly, and she speaks for me.
