I don't believe his magical underwear would be enough to make him a winner this time around.. I hope mr Obama will win this election, as US need a calmer head than Romney to make it true the turbulent water USS USA are in today...
But we never know without his "elections problems" in US.. After all, they managed to get into office George Walker Bush, who was properly the worst candidate ever to be president in the US...

(894 posts)if the youth were not as enthused with Obama as they were 4 years ago.
He's done a lot, but, you get the feeling that he could have done so much more had Congress not been as do nothing as they have been.
With what we have, Obama is the best choice, but I wish we had an even more progressive leadership.
Probably won't happen in my lifetime.

(9 posts)The enthusiasm would grow if we could get the fake P.A.T.R.I.O.T ACT repealed, the Military Commissions Act of 2006 either repealed or amended to get back habeas corpus, and the NDAA repealed. The militarism of the police must be stopped and posse comitatus be reinstated, and the prosecution and spying on peaceful protesters have to end. He also needs to come out stronger for green jobs, no Keystone XL Pipeline, and put the solar panels back on the White House. If he did those things and stopped drone assassinations I would campaign for him every waking hour. And I think the youth would too. It is up to us to come out strong for the change we want in every milieu from emails, phone calls, office calls, and in the streets.

(40,416 posts)He really is the charismatic leader we all need in the White House. No matter what happens to Congress in November, he will have our backs. He isn't perfect, but nobody here is, either.
I am awed by his ability to inspire and excite people. I know why he was elected. He was the right guy.

(4,309 posts)Beautiful to see! My 24 year-old daughter and I are both volunteers here in Maryland. All of her friends are 100% for Obama. What a lack of enthusiasm in all those young faces (being very sarcastic). I guess the young don't want to go back to the policies of Bush?
