Republicans Swift Boat President Obama -- Are We Surprised?

As expected, the swift boating of the President has begun and will likely continue until Election Day. God forbid Mitt Romney would actually engage on the issues. No, he just lets his surrogates make attack ads like this one which, by the way, do not mention any specific Navy SEAL with an objection but simply contend that SEALs object.

How convenient.

well just at how long it took to make an actual ad. The Republicans have been gnashing their teeth over this issue since Bin Laden was killed. They have even gone so far as to turn themselves into pretzels to give GW credit for it.

This is disgusting however, first off I don't believe any Navy Seals have a negative view over the killing of Bin Laden. Secondly if this is from one of the six Navy Seals that were there, well anyway that would be a military matter. If it is just from a Navy Seal then that Navy Seal should be named, as there is no risk to national security. He should man up and own his words.

President Obama has always praised the navy seal, CIA, the whole team involved in the effort.
I really believe that Rmoney would have ordered the drone strike or no strike at all because the government was not 100% sure, OBL was there.

Bush turned Bin Laden into a thoroughly hated household name, everybody knows that President Obama presided over his demise. After watching that ad I felt like it was put together by a high schooler (ok, not to insult high school students - my son and many other talented high school kids could have done much better than this). I just don't see where this ad will change anyone's mind.

In the back of my mind I'm thinking the Obama team should bring out some former navy seals (there have been several on a recent History Channel program for instance) and have them tell us their opinion of the raid and how it was handled (especially the part about the President insisting on a backup chopper).

I am biding my time, but someday I am going to slide my Member of Congress a little bill that removes the names of every Swift Boat Veteran from the military record and replaces their names with

(DISHONORABLE)

For casting aspersions upon the record of an honorable veteran.

And I'll wait for these bastards, too.

But I will NEVER forget, and I'm going to outlive all of them, too.
