The "Elizabeth Warren of Civil Liberties"

"We call Shenna Bellows the 'Elizabeth Warren of civil liberties' because she's campaigning boldly on constitutional freedom and economic populism," said PCCC co-founder Stephanie Taylor in an email sent to it's approximately 950,000 members. "Like Elizabeth Warren's challenge to former Sen. Scott Brown, many insiders thought Susan Collins was unbeatable. Until now."

The PCCC was founded in 2009 with a mission to fight for bold progressive change.

I believe Bellows is the first ACLU state executive director to ever run for a senate seat.
