OMG. I am shocked. I don't rely too much on polls, but it really irks me to see that the republicants have a slight edge. How can anyone in the right mind vote for these idiots?

(32,017 posts)I hope this is one of those cases where the results are falling within the margin of error but are heavily tilted one direction (towards Republicans). I am not sure what these results mean, but I hope the Democrats push an increase in the minimum wage to get people to the polls. Turnout will matter a great deal. Please, party leaders, give the people something to vote for.

(32,017 posts)The House will never agree to increase the minimum wage so long as the R's control it, but we need to push for it to convince the people that we're actually fighting for them and not the corporate fat-cats who run the country. The people will vote for Democrats as long as we don't pretend to be Republicans. On that score, Truman was right:
