CHRISTIE'S LAWYER: GOVERNOR NOT INVOLVED IN PLOT

By ANGELA DELLI SANTI
— Mar. 27, 2014 11:33 AM EDT

NEW YORK (AP) — A law firm hired by New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie says the governor was not involved in a plot to create gridlock near a major bridge as part of a political retribution scheme.

The taxpayer-funded report released Thursday concludes the September lane closures near the heavily traveled George Washington Bridge were intended to target a local mayor. But there was no evidence found that it was because the mayor wouldn't endorse Christie.

The report finds that former Port Authority of New York and New Jersey official David Wildstein and ex-Christie aide Bridget Kelly were behind the closures.

The lawyers also found no evidence that Christie tied Superstorm Sandy aid for Hoboken to support for a private redevelopment project.

They essentially called Zimmer a liar. Why would she do that? It makes no sense. This is an embarrassing whitewash attempt.

job? He was hired to clear Christy, so that's what he does, declares him cleared. Too bad it doesn't call off the Feds or the others investigating it. And to say it happened because of a lovers quarrel really is demeaning to women. This is exactly like what Walker did, hired his own team to investigate himself and declare him clean.

Chris Christie is a bully and a punk.

He of course was behind the closing and what I want to know is which of his many enemies was he punishing?

Christie got what he hired him for.

Imagine back In 1998 If CLinton hired lawyer for Lewensky Investigation who concluded he did nothing wrong. Would that have
settled things? Hell no. so why would this settle anything.

If the answer is a rotund NO, then that should settle the case.

Christie really got gumption to expect people to believe the results of an investigation that was handled by his cronies.

What ticks me off even more is that he expects taxpayer's to foot the bill.
