When Castro spoke at the Democratic Convention you could see he was destined for higher office. I hope you are right on this as I believe it would be a landslide. Dems may even win Texas.

I've never seen anything like this before in American history. The fact that we can say with such confidence who the nominee of a political party is going to be two years before the fucking election is ridiculous.

That, toppled with the fact that I think Hillary has worn out her welcome after 20 years on the national stage and I wish she would simply go away, makes this whole thing extremely nauseating to me. I wish I didn't live in this time period, witnessing something like this. And I really hope I never see anything like it again.

...and you're welcome to work your heart out to encourage another candidate. Just remember that; six years ago, 17 million Democrats felt otherwise, and many still do today.

34 years. It's been 34 years and there has been either a Bush or a Clinton in the White House in some capacity. You can't tell me that there is not someone better qualified to be elected who doesn't come from one of these two families. I will not vote for Clinton if she turns out to be the nominee.

For the life of me I can't understand why anyone would even want to run for president these days. The outrageous allegations that all the PAC groups on the other side will flood the media circus with, utter loss of privacy, having to convince the morons in congress that they should be accountable enough to work with you, etc.

Somebody needs to find Lincoln's remains and put him in the cloning vat, I think he's the only guy I'd trust in the Oval Office.

But right now I'm pretty disillusioned with the whole process. Based on where I live, (Alaska) my vote really does not matter. Most of the time I show up to vote solely on the propositions, and ignore the candidates.

I am a "supervoter", and it's difficult to break those habits once they are established.

I might vote for Elizabeth Warren. I might vote for John Huntsman. I'd have to do a lot more research on both of them before I'd be comfortable committing to a vote, but they both appear capable, and in Huntsman's case in particular, I was impressed with his responses in the debates. I felt he had a very good grip on the issues, and voiced some sensible ideas.

Both candidates were expected to give humorous speeches, and Obama's best line was "whoever gave me my middle name obviously never expected me to be running for president." Even McCain was doubled over by that one.

That I will NOT know on Jan. 1, 2016 who our ticket will consist of.
