Maybe Brat is a sleeper. To get elected by the Tea Party, you just have to spout off some stupid, mean remarks and you're in. If they think you're a moron, they'll vote for you in droves.

Brat has some interesting connections. Given the local hate Cantor experienced in Republican meetings the skewed internal polling makes one wonder who else despised this swarmy smirking prick who will now never be Speaker of the House.

and he is too (in a small defence he has so ok economic papers on his website)....but judging by his approach I still wonder how the WB hired him as a consultant.
