Why is it that when candidates get killed in small plane crashes right before elections, Republicans are always the ones to benefit?

I mean most libertarians are warmed over republicans who are dissatisfied with there party.They believe in NO GOVERNMENT!! except the military

This Libertarian candidate threatened to take enough votes away from the Republican so that the Democratic candidate could win. The race is that close. The death of the Libertarian is grounds for rejoicing in the Republican camp in this instance.

After Missouri's new Democratic governor said he would appoint Carnahan's wife to the Senate seat if her husband was elected posthumously. Brilliant move.

Will remain on the ballot.He may take more votes from her than the democrat in the race.
