The Clintons, The Democrats' 2014 Super Surrogates

By KEN THOMAS and NICHOLAS RICCARDI
Associated Press

AURORA, Colo. (AP) -- Defending their allies, Bill and Hillary Clinton are barnstorming the country for Democrats struggling through a bleak campaign season in states where President Barack Obama is deeply unpopular.

With speculation rampant about whether Hillary Rodham Clinton makes a second presidential run, the power couple has blanketed the political map this fall, attending fundraisers and get-out-the-vote rallies for a long roster of Democratic candidates. In states like Arkansas, Louisiana, North Carolina and Colorado, the Clintons are an asset at a time when many Democrats need a big name to help inspire supporters. The Clintons usually campaign for candidates on their own.

On the campaign trail, the former president, in particular, is in his element.

"I feel like an old racehorse in a stable and people just take me out and put me on the track and slap me on the rear to see if I can run around one more time," the ex-president jokes at various stops.

Obama appeared at his first political rallies last weekend - in Democratic-friendly Maryland and his home state of Illinois - but the Clintons can go where the president might not be helpful.

Hillary Clinton’s allies are building a technological advantage for her prospective presidential campaign, meant to scare Democrats thinking about challenging her in a primary and intimidate Republicans who would oppose her in the general election.

Good For Them. Here in Ohio Bill Clinton hosted a fund-raiser for Democratic candidates & I was fortunate enough to have went. This was in June of this year and what I found odd though was that Hillary Clinton did not appear at the event onstage nor was their any acknowledgment that Hillary was in attendance at the even in Columbus, Ohio...

Yet about half-way through the dinner I actually went out to my car to smoke a ciggarette and on my way back in, I happened to run into her near the bus in the parking lot & I yelled her name and IDK why to this day but she agreed to take a picture with me, but asked me not tell alot of people that she was there. I Swear, It Was Odd....

Anyway the point being, if the Clinton's werent helping getting out the vote, who would. Yea The President has and probably should keep a low profile during this election. Thank-You Bill & Hillary Clinton for trying to encourage a Democratic Turnout turn into a Democratic Victory in 2 weeks.

The Clintons' are leaders in the Democratic Party and they have taken it upon themselves to get out there and try to help Democrats in any and everyway possible. Unfortunately, Bill & Hillary are really the only leaders of the Democratic Party out there actively campaigning on behalf of Democratic candidates...I wish there was more 'stars' within the Democratic Party, whether political or not, out campaigning for Democratic Candidates.
