I would like to see a separate "2016 ELECTION" DU Forum please.

With so much interest in possible candidates, I would really like that topic to have its own place here on DU.

We discuss so many critical topics, local, national, & global & I see many topics quickly disappear with the dominance of 2016 candidate opinion threads.
This is happening already, & once those intending to run for office make it public, I expect it to only increase .

Will other important & critical informative threads disappear once 2016 candidates announce their intent?
Absolutely, they will be buried.

To keep DU news content from becoming only about the 2016 election, I request a separate "2016 Candidate Forum" where that subject can be discussed.

Thank You

That's the best way to make sure the admins see the post.

But first take a look through the already answered questions to see if someone else has asked already.

I have lost track of a few posts I wanted to read with the dominance of pro/anti candidate threads. And so far its all supposition.

Subject is a valid one indeed, but so are many others.
Just saying..

Won't hurt to ask I guess.
There are days lately, I have just logged off DU because of this very issue.
It can be a bit volatile in some cases, and what I wanted to research has long disappeared if I didn't bookmark.

I'd just like some order put in place before the candidates announce & we're off & running.
Request has been sent to the admins. tks

The vileness is disgusting.
Other than that, DU has some outstanding posters who bring current & critical topics to light. Which is why I stay.
However, to allow the bombardment of candidate opinion posts to dominate & disrupt the great & worthy function of DU, would render the site no longer useful to me.

Basically, the nasty has got to stop or give it a forum of its own where they can have at it.
So far, we have no candidates for 2016.
How bad will the vile banter get when we actually have candidates announce their intent.

They need their own room.
