MoveOn.org officials announced Monday that they have garnered 110,000 signatures on a petition urging Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) to run for president in 2016.
The announcement comes just one week after the progressive grassroots group launched a "Run Warren Run" campaign that included a $1 million investment.

(1,415 posts)We have a popular candidate who is leading in all the polls. The GOP is torn asunder, why should we do the same? Let Hillary have a clear, fair shot. It is far more important to have a Democrat in the White House than nitpick which one when, there is an overwhelming front runner.

(22,000 posts)I don't think she'll run though. Clinton is going to be anointed as soon as she steps in the ring.

(135,425 posts)I thought they were going to get millions of signatures. On their website they say they have eight million members. http://pac.petitions.moveon.org/ I went looking for the petition but could not find it at that site.
I don't think they got the reaction they were hoping for.
On the bright side, it suggests people do, indeed, read the papers and watch the news and they understand that "No means no" to quote the Senator.
