Rep. Grimm is resigning

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/michael-grimm-reportedly-decided-resign-congress-article-1.2060152

WASHINGTON — Rep. Michael Grimm has decided to resign from Congress in the wake of his guilty plea on a felony tax evasion charge, sources told the Daily News Monday night.

Grimm (R-S.I.) said after he entered his plea last week that he planned to continue serving in the House.

But he reversed course after speaking Monday to House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), who has taken a hard line on GOPers facing ethics charges.

"The events which led to this day did not break my spirit, nor the will of the voters," Grimm said in a statement. "However, I do not believe that I can continue to be 100% effective in the next Congress, and therefore, out of respect for the office and the people I so proudly represent, it is time for me to start the next chapter of my life."

And they love him in Staten Island. I hope the next chapter in his life is a nice lengthy one in prison.

... if there will be a disclaimer someplace in text or by those in the show that this guy is definitely NOT a grimm, but is likely a wesen masquerading as a grimm!

Certainly wouldn't want this Grimm anywhere near us here in Portland!

Grimm's one of my favorite shows, and I love that it's in Portland. Although...if I was there, I'd be looking at everyone with a jaundiced eye. I mean, I'm all for keeping Portland weird, but beginning to suspect it's filled with a bunch of wesen of all types who are just waiting to reveal themselves and wreak havoc. Hah! It's enough to keep me on this side of the Cascades! And who knows. Michael Grimm might just be one of 'em! Good idea, that disclaimer. Such a well-written show, it might be in the script one of these days! Glad to see the show's reruns been picked up by TNT, BTW.

Cheers and smiles!
