NYT: Hillary Bringing In Ex-House Dem Spox To Handle Day-To-Day Press

Jesse Ferguson, a former top operative for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, is signing on with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to serve as one of the primary spokesmen of her likely presidential campaign, The New York Times reported on Thursday.

Ferguson previously handled independent expenditures for the committee. Before that he was the committee's deputy executive director and before that he was communications director.

The announcement comes as Clinton grapples with questions of using a private email to conduct official business when she was at the State Department.

Ferguson is popular with the political press corps. His nose-to-the-grindstone approach to work, even as he battled cancer, has been reported on by The Washington Post.
