Once upon a time, when someone was elected to the US Senate s/he would quiety sit

back, listen and learn for the first year, at least. Especially with a notoriety like Hillary Clinton or Al Franken.

But no, not with the Joe McCarthy wannabe Republicans. First there was Cruz who was arguing with Feinstein about guns, or something, and then ran and shut down the government. And now there is Cotton Ball (or is it Moth Ball?) who is trying to run foreign policy.

The sad thing is that one would think that the more senior members of the Senate would stop this and frown - they way they did with Cruz - instead of falling over each other to sign the letter..

The problem with Cruz or Cotton is not their 'newness'. It's their ideology. They could have been in the Senate for decades and still come up with the same crap.

And has never let up.

Hopefully that brings change. Real change.
