Top Clinton Spokesman Known For Aggressive Style Won't Be On Campaign

A top spokesman for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, known for his aggressive style of interacting with the press, won't be part of the Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign if she decides to run, according to Bloomberg Politics.

Philippe Reines, who has been a longtime communications adviser to Clinton and served as her Senate press secretary in the 2008 cycle, won't be on the campaign, Bloomberg reported on Monday.

Earlier in the month, The Washington Post's Erik Wemple reported a heated back and forth between Reines and several reporters asking about Clinton's use of a private email server to conduct official business when she was at the State Department.

In an exchange in 2012, Reines, told since-deceased Buzzfeed correspondent Michael Hastings to "fuck off" and "have a good life." He later apologized.

He's awful, so I'm glad that he won't (reportedly) have a central role in the campaign, and especially that he won't be the press liaison.
