Why I'm supporting Bernie Sanders

I'm 61 years old. I remember different times. I remember when this country had a vibrant middle class. I remember when the guy working at the corner gas station, pumping gas, could buy a house while his wife stayed home and managed the kids. I watched as the Republican Party used the backlash to civil rights to suck people in and then promote the policies of the greedy.
There is no doubt in my mind that Sen. Sanders understands what has happened to our society and what needs to be done. He understands that we have to stop running the large trade deficits that are putting downward pressure on wages. He knows that we need to break up the big banks , and return to glass steagal.
On Hillary, I just don't know. She has talked about income inequality in general, but has not come out with many specific policy statements. She has not stated a position on TPP. She is raising huge sums of money from where I don't know. She seems to be connected to and comfortable in the corporate world.

That's why I'm supporting Bernie Sanders. A continuation of the same old policies just doesn't work. It's time for change.

Never enthused much by any candidate in my party, it was always a vote against stinking repukes, to keep them out of power, then followed by betrayal, depression, and the same old shit.

This is different. Fuck the pukes and full speed ahead. I want President Bernie Sanders.

Do we want what Wall Street wants? The Powers that Be know they can get more crap shoved down our throats with a Dem in the White House than with a Republican. Bernie is a big threat to their plans and to the status quo. Their front line of defense is to have the MSN marginalize him. Notice when he is on a show how most questions revolve around HRC? Bernie patiently turns it to his issues and says what he came to say, but they usually find a way to slip in that he has no chance to win.

And they (the MSM) needs to ask what HE wants to do and not try to compare his views to hers. He's got his own agenda and frankly, it's much more to the point, using the GOP moral issues as a basis of those changes needed. I support Bernie because he's consistent, non corporate, out for the senior, the handicapped, the middle class folks like me, the marginalized, the needy and that is morally superior to the GOP plans to dismantle everything they need to subsist in the US. Shame on the GOP. They have a better man in Bernie than they could ever deliver from their party. Go Bernie!

His plan will save the country money in the long run.

Hillary: if I have to. Please no.

Side Note: I'm in expat so my vote won't count unless there is a recount so Voter Disenfranchise is alive and well for me, politically. Proof positive. And worst yet, is that I didn't live in my home state when I left so the voter rules require that I can only vote at my last permanent address, even if I was new to that area and not involved like my home area. We need to be able to vote once, in the county of our choice whether we are a resident or not, okay. I spent 30+ yrs in the area no where near my last residence in the US. Why disenfranchise me? I may be more informed and involved even remotely more than your poor suffering locals that couldn't make it to the polls. They need mail in voting in order to participate. Don't you think?

Listen. to. your. voters.

without wealth. I think he gets what it's like to be the other 90% in this country - not the billionaires & not the upper class serving the billionaires. I think if elected he could be our next FDR. The hard part is getting to that point.

I think it is going to be same as the President. She hasn't stated whether she is supporting TPP or not. It's another trade deal involving countries that have wages that are substantially lower than ours.

She has been very clear about it. She also voted against CAFTA as a senator. Same website - no excuse not to inform yourself. It would be awesome if people could talk about her record as it actually stands rather than confine it to what people make up in their heads.

that the young certainly can't detect. There are adults old enough to know it but who don't realize or don't want to admit the drastic changes in their lifetimes. These negligent, indifferent adults really bother me, the most. The dominance of M$M doesn't help-
