Hillary Clinton campaign issues online rebuttal of Clinton Cash criticisms
Sabrina Siddiqui in Washington
Wednesday 6 May 2015 16.53 BST
Hillary Clinton and her presidential campaign team have launched a digital drive to rebut the new book Clinton Cash by Peter Schweizer and to discredit its author.
To coincide with the books release on Tuesday, the former secretary of states team launched a new section on the Clinton campaign website called The Briefing, which the campaign chairman, John Podesta, introduced as a one-stop shop to provide the facts about Hillary Clintons positions and her record.
In a post on Medium, Podesta said the campaign would use new media tools such as Twitter, Vine, YouTube and Facebook to challenge attacks on Clintons record and share with the public the Clinton Foundations work in its own words. Brian Fallon, the Clinton campaigns spokesman, also appears in a nearly three-minute YouTube video questioning Schweizers credibility, pointing out that he was an adviser to former GOP vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin and is a friend of the billionaire Koch brothers.
The campaign websites The Briefing section similarly fact-checks Clinton Cash, citing reports that dispute some of its most contentious claims, such as allegations that a Clinton Foundation donor benefited from the sale of a uranium company and that former president Bill Clinton was paid for speeches by a contractor seeking Haiti relief contracts.

As I have posted elsewhere on DU:
As usual, the rightwing has overshot their criticism with no proof of quid pro quo. What Clinton Cash did illuminate, however, is that Hillary repeatedly violated the Memorandum of Understanding she signed with the Obama Admin as a condition to taking the job as SOS promising to report all new/increased foreign donations. The purpose of the agreement was to protect the SOS from accusations of wrongdoing. In repeatedly violating the agreement, however, Hillary is now cloaked in the appearance of wrongdoing, a self-inflicted wound. Both the rightwing and ClintonWorld are arguing about the accusations of quid pro quo when the real issue is the agreement she signed and why she did not hold up her end of it.
