I visited Wisconsin today...

Crossed over from Minnesota at Red Wing, drove down Highway 35 along the Mississippi to the town of Pepin. It's a beautiful drive. And an especially beautiful thing was the profusion of Barrett signs, especially in Maiden Rock and Stockholm. Some of them were handmade. There were a few Walker signs - saw a couple of those big fancy ones (which the Walker campaign is said to have paid landowners $100 just to put them up), but Barrett apparently has some fans in western WI. It was good to see those signs.

who feel outnumbered so aren't comfortable letting their politics be known. Oh, and be sure to ask for a PAPER BALLOT on election day. Forest County hand counts paper ballots. Dont let the clerk pressure you to vote on a touchscreen machine, and tell your friends!

Recall Walker signs are everywhere here in cities and even the small 2000 people towns. It's only in the rural areas that I see those big stand with Walker signs that you are talking about. I don't really see how the polls can be as close as they are, but I'm sure they'll try their hardest to "fix" things like they did in Florida.
