George Will calls Democrats "Radicals"

Someone needs to tell Fox's George Will that "radical" is in the eye of the beholder. Apparently George Will's definition of a "radical" is someone who doesn't believe that millionaires and billionaires should be buying our elections, and that would like to have fair trade that protects American workers rather than a race to the bottom on wages and benefits.

I hate to break it to Will, but if he really believes that makes someone a "radical" he'd better stay indoors, because he's surrounded by them. A whole lot more people agree with Bernie Sanders on these issues than they do the likes of Will.

I'm sure there have been years in the past where his agent calls him and says, "you're losing relevance, George, can't you say something arrogantly uninformed to stir up the proles?"

And so he does. He's got a whole file of arrogant somethings he can say.

But more seriously, I concur with you, UC, that Will is already trying to toss about the "radical" brush because The Man fears Bernie Sanders. We'll see the entire Beobachter operation begin that shift, I think, because it's so natural and easy for them to go back to the Commie well.

And I sincerely, genuinely hope they do, because over half the voters out there never got the commie-under-the-bed indoctrination us older fools did, and they find such stuff ancient, silly, and instantly recognizable.

It's a guaranteed-loss pattern we should encourage by feigning outrage and concern, which I see has been independently arrived at by many other posters on DU.

a radical (more precisely, a free radical) is an atom, molecule, or ion that has unpaired valence electrons

It a perspective thing, a self centered, privileged, person sees themself as unchanging and normal, when in reality they are on the way to being an increasingly conservative asshole.

What other political group through the US history has murdered the president to make sure they get their way?

But if turns George Will on to be calling someone Radical, let him continue. You know that desperation often shows its' self in many ways
