Romney app misspells Amercia
Posted by Aaron Blake at 10:44 PM ET, 05/29/2012
Mitt Romneys presidential campaign misspelled the word America on its new iPhone app, and its already paying a price for it.
In the app, the phrase A Better America is misspelled A Better Amercia. The misspelling was picked up and tweeted widely Tuesday night, soon spawned a hashtag-driven Twitter meme in which people imagined just what Amercia stood for and what kind of policies Romney had planned for Amercia.
The Romney campaign told The Fix that it had submitted a corrected version of the app to Apple, which has to approve the update.
Heres a sampling of the reaction:

(23,547 posts)The University of Wisconsin Madison misspelled "Wisconsin" on my diploma and others in the class. They had to send us new ones.
Of course in rmoney's case it could be "sabotage in the american workplace" a really fun book if you get the chance to read it.

(35,392 posts)1. Did this app at any point say "I'm Mitt Romney and I approve this " app?
2. Hmm ... "Amercia" ... check to see if Rmoney had trademarked that word/brand name ... it may be a way for him to funnel even more money to his numbered accounts ...
