Hoekstra, who is competing for the GOP’s nomination to face Sen. Debbie Stabenow, proposes creating a national office of a FBI or CIA agent to put the question to rest in the future.
The commentary in Lapeer drew a sharp rebuke from state Democratic Party leader Mark Brewer.
“You can’t get much further outside the mainstream than calling for the creation of a birther office staffed by the CIA and FBI,” Brewer said. “Our leaders should be focused on creating jobs, not on creating a new federal bureaucracy to comb through birth certificates. Hoekstra’s radical plan to appoint a Birther Czar shows just how far he’ll go to win the support of Tea Party radicals like Donald Trump.” ...

Hoekstra Wants to Expand the Power and Scope of the Federal Government! 
I love how they are alllllllllllllllll about 'erasing the Fed' - until they want to use it to keep their boots on the necks of us 'others'.
they will gladly increase its size- when it serves their purposes, of course.
I really thought (hoped?) that this was an Onion article but, nope, it's not.
