That does not at all look like Biden dragging him in. In fact, quite the contrary. He went there because he wanted to, because he had changed his mind about advocating for marriage equality.

Despite her many speeches; despite her religious fawning; despite her political will and wit - gay marriage is legal.

But now many are crediting him with this victory even though he had zero to do with this case.

I actually don't like the evolved rhetoric because Clinton, for example, she acted like it didn't cross her mind. As if she didn't get daily focus group polls about it and didn't shift exactly at the same time the polls did (as did Obama, but he didn't excuse it as an evolution to the same extent as Clinton).

They didn't evolve, they shifted the rhetoric to represent constituents.

what can I say? I was rural PA and didn't know any gay people so hating them was pretty easy to do. But when I got to college and met people, became good friends and found out later they were gay eventually my thinking also evolved. That was the 80's.

So I know I evolved with my thinking and it was joining here at DU where I truly understood about marriage equality (before DU I was on the civil union boat think 'at least it's something'). So I'm not looking for who got their stamp first with marriage equality. I know all 4 current democratic candidates are ardent supporters which is good enough for me. And if Biden joins maybe Jill will post those photos of Joe running around the White House using the pride flag like a superhero cape!

i think i heard yesterday that 10 years ago approval was at 30% for s.sx.m. but now it is %60. hillary or anyone's history on this is easily found for anyone who wants to look.

what i am curious about is now that hrc and bs are of the same position, will their prior feelings influence primary voters? i have a feeling economics, trade, foreign policy,wars, etc are going to be more important because they have clear differences there.
