Am I the only one here who doesn't get it?

Last edited Thu May 31, 2012, 08:49 PM - Edit history (1)

How in the hell could anyone vote for Nitt, the blithering idiot? Supposedly he and Obama are in a dead heat--how can this be true considering:
1) his abominable record as governer?
2) he's lost the women's vote?
3) he's lost the African American and Latino votes?
4) the Christians don't like that he's mormon?
5) he pals around with the likes of trump in Vegas?
And on and on and on ad nauseum...
I-JUST-DON'T-GET-IT

Can anyone enlighten me? Something is not adding up! How can Nitt beat Obama when the repuke Congress' favorability ratings are so LOW?

It doesn't have to make sense.
It only has to create emotions.
Whichever side has the most emotional pull may win in today's anti intellectual right wing climate.

7. Number 1 reason: President Obama is NOT like them...
Thu May 31, 2012, 08:09 PM

President Obama represents the sum of all their fears,
wrapped up in a black man.

This morning I had breakfast with one of my parishoners,
who spent most of the time complaining about her job.
She works for one of those upscale grocery stores that sells "Lifestyle.."
But it treats the employees like slaves.
She often works 15 days in a row with no day off;
works long hours. Requests for days off must be submitted
2 weeks in advance.. and are often denied.

There's more, but the point is: the employees are conditioned to
believe they have no choice and there are many people lined up
to take these jobs if they dont' like it.
I kept my mouth shut for most of the talking,
but I blurted out: "YOu guys need to form a good old fashioned union.."
and she shushed me: "That talk is grounds for being fired..."

Apparently, the store executive could have given each and every
employee a 50 cent an hour raise this year (budget surplus) but
instead bought himself a new jet.
But getting sassy with the manager will get you fired.

And... the bottom line: these employees? Vote MItt.
Love MItt. Mitt is the salvation of the world...
because MItt will make them rich.

Delusional.....go figure.
I went back to my office and beat my head against the wall.

Romney is white.
He's also rich. People admire that.
Most people are idiots.
Most people do not follow politics.
A lot of the people that do follow don't understand what they are following.
Point four, again.
Socialism!

It's America, home of the proud willfully ignorant.

Most voters aren't much different. Whatever Fox says, they believe. Well, until they witness personally or through family and friends what happens to soldiers or what happens to not being able to make a living or what happens when insurance companies can cheat you without consequence, etc., etc., etc.

elections and then go vote for a Republican Senator, Congressman or President. The most popular excuse I hear
is if Obama gets re-elected the NRA says he will take your guns away. Year after year they vote against their own best interest because of some lie they hear from the NRA, Fox or a preacher.

taking the guns if he is re-elected this morning. These are union members that will vote for a Republican because
of the gun lobby, and yes they are that gullible. I think a lot of it has to do with Obama being black, that is just a
convenient excuse for voting for a Republican. Look at WV it has overwhelming Democratic registration yet since the Civil Rights Act a Democrat has little chance of winning there.

That's right, Nitt was really dinged by a lot of the base during the primaries. It must be that the repukes are banding together--now that they're stuck with the jackass.
But I'm going to try to ignore the polls for now, which may well preserve my sanity...such as it is!

Ray Tings.

If the cable news networks were covering a baseball game that was to happen in November between the New York Yankees and a T-Ball team from Peoria?

They would also be polling THEM at a statistical dead heat for chances of winning.

28. Obama will win a landslide

Obama will win a landslide electoral vote

Obama has every single minority group plus women of all ages and types.
There is NO way Mitt is close. There are NOT enough white male voters in the USA to offset those figures. I figure Obama is at least about 50-42 in a real poll and with Obama's favorables around 50 or higher, and Mitt's a good ten points lower at least, how they can seriously think its a horserace I don't know.

all you need to get is that ALL OF THE MEDIA wants either a close race or Mitt to win and is LYING

They are reporting phony issues, and not real news

Obama can lose both Florida and Ohio and still win a landslide victory in the electoral vote

Obama is going to win a landslide and the Mitt people are (Karl Rove like) trying to put a spin out there that is false. But the media eats it up, don't they?

They said it would be close in 2008 too, and guess what? Obama won a landslide general election and after the third week, the primaries also never were in doubt either.

btw-lately they have used polls saying Obama is down from his landslide 2008 numbers...
but they never told you in 2008 that Obama had landslide numbers did they? NOOOOOOO

This is 1964 all over again, and Obama is the winning LBJ and Mitt the losing Goldwater.
IF Obama wanted to and had money to spare, he should go to Texas and fight it out, I would not be surprised, if Obama fought there, that he would win there.

We need Howard Dean's 50 state strategy this year too. Texas will turn blue soon enough thanks to the demographic change, why not in 2012?

...unlike people here, who are plugged in to the process and read and stuff, just don't pay attention. They get their info from other people casually, or by osmosis through the occasional news show. If all you here is Obama spends trillions, Obama made the deficit bigger, and you're underpaid and overworked, maybe in fear of losing your job, the rich guy sounds pretty good. Most people don't run to Politifact to check out what they heard, they just form opinions from the loudest source. And with billions to spend, the galtian overlords are the ones they're most likely to hear.
