Honestly, Ed wasn't paying a whole lot of attention.

He carried on a long interaction with John Nichols, and at another point he carried on a conversation with local media... all along he was beset with press people paying their respects, and once he stood on the floor, his attention was diverted by what seemed to be regular folks saying hello, etc.

I suspect Schultz is pretty familiar with Sanders' speech so being interrupted may be less a deal that it might sound...he surely knew when the crowd rose in ovations and he was watching people's reactions in the section I was seated in. But I expect much of what Ed has to say really won't be about what was actually said in Madison.

for speaking truth to power. I'm sure it's no stretch that he's risking his position at MSNBC for his truthtelling, yet he's perfectly willing to make that sacrifice, to fight the good fight. I really respect and totally appreciate him for that.

and Sen. Bernie Sanders. As a seasoned news and sports reporter he knows what he's doing in covering major events like the Sanders speech last night.

This afternoon it was good to see on MSNBC's 'The Cycle' how Ari Melber was positively discussing Bernie's rousing, highly attended and successful event at length with the panel and guests.
Even Abby Huntsman was impressed and said some complementary things about the Vermont Senator who she once had to 'debate' (maybe on Bill Maher?) and was terrified to death! It was said in a nice way.
There are still bright spots on MSNBC and some other M$M, although I rely on independent alternative news the most.

The atmosphere is still elevated from last night and we're enjoying every moment of it, with more to come!
Bernie was a LONG DISTANCE RUNNER when young as he said to George Steph. who asked about age.
Bernie's endurance, power, message, strength and stamina certainly came through last night!
